MÈRE Stories: Melissa Mor
I’m Melissa Mor, mom of three and founder of Mrs. Push.
Mrs. Push is the go-to destination for curated, personalized push presents and family jewelry where meaningful style meets the milestones of motherhood.
After the birth of my first baby ten years ago, I became obsessed with the idea of the push present.
I grew up marking life’s special moments with jewelry—I can still tell you what piece I got for which occasion, like the tiny gold dancer charm I received after my first ballet recital.
So naturally, after giving birth, I asked my husband what he was getting me as a push present… and the search quickly became overwhelming. As more of my friends became moms, they’d come to me for help and send their husbands my way too.
With a background as a fashion buyer, curating meaningful, beautiful things has always been second nature.
After baby number three, I had my “aha” moment: there was no one stop shop for push presents.
So I created one.
It’s a wild ride raising a young family while building a business, but I’m so grateful I get to do both. Seeing our pieces on you never gets old and I truly love hearing the stories behind every push present and piece of mom jewelry.
If you had to summarize your journey in motherhood with all its challenges, how would you describe it now? How have you found a way to reclaim your strength or identity? What have you learned?
I know it’s easier said than done, but try to be as present as possible.
Put the phone down when you can. Bring your kids to work events and let them see you in action, they take in everything.
My 10 year old has his own crayon business, and my 7 year old is constantly coming up with ideas of her own.
They’re always watching, learning, and being inspired by what you do.
What advice or words of encouragement would you give another mom walking through a similar chapter?
Trust your gut and do what feels right—your mama intuition knows. It’s there for a reason.
Whether it’s a parenting decision, a business move, or just how you spend your time, that inner knowing is powerful. The more you listen to it, the stronger it gets.
How has your journey changed you, both in ways you expected and in ways you never could have imagined?
Motherhood has definitely taught me patience.
Before kids, I was the least patient person. I wanted everything done yesterday. I’m still not the most patient, but I’ve come a long way. Interestingly, building a business has taught me the same.
No one really talks about the in between—the space after launching but before “making it.” That requires so much patience. It’s about showing up consistently, building brick by brick. Every event I host, every influencer collaboration, every client who wears our jewelry and shares it with someone else, it’s all compounding.
