The Mère Health promise

We are committed to providing the best possible care to our members. That's why we require all our providers to take continuing education courses through The Postpartum Stress Center, led by maternal mental health expert Karen Kleinman, and Postpartum Support International. Both organizations have worked tirelessly in the field of perinatal care for decades and are recognized as important resources for both physicians and therapists.

MÈRE MENTORS PROVIDERS

Expert care for every parenting chapter

Our pediatric nurse practitioners are here to provide trusted guidance and personalized support for you and your family.

Bethany Smith

FNP-C

“As a mom, I know the importance of taking care of yourself first so that you can best care for your children. Parenting is hard—let’s work through it together.”

With over 15 years of nursing experience, Bethany is a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. She brings a unique perspective to healthcare, blending extensive bedside experience with a deep understanding of the needs of families.

After spending 8 years as a nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Bethany transitioned into private practice, where she has spent the past 7 years working alongside clinicians in a busy office. This experience has equipped her with expertise in pediatric care, as well as a deep appreciation for the challenges and rewards of supporting families in a clinical setting.

As a mother of two young children, Bethany understands the balancing act that parents face and often finds herself saying, “The NP side of me says you should technically do this, but the mom side of me says this may be more realistic.” This relatable approach allows Bethany to connect with families, offering not only professional guidance but also empathy and understanding from a parent’s perspective.

Bethany is passionate about empowering families to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, and is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive environment where parents and children feel heard and cared for.

Joining Mère will allow Bethany to lean into the “mom” side of the advice parents are seeking when it comes to their family unit. As a Mère Mentor she hopes to bridge the gap to what you would visit your pediatrician for and what you would  search on google during a 3AM feeding.

Bethany looks forward to being a trusted partner in your family's journey and supporting you with both professional expertise and a personal touch.

Allie Horne

She combines her professional and personal experiences to develop individualized plans to help parents tackle their biggest struggles/worries.
