Therapy

Becca Hamilton |

LPC, PMH-C

Our Perinatal Mental Health certified therapist who sees women suffering from infertility grief, pregnancy depression, postpartum anxiety & depression, motherhood depression & anxiety, and reproductive grief due to birth trauma and pregnancy loss.

“I feel called to care for women in these chapters because I am one. I know how overwhelming and disorienting it can feel at times. It is a privilege to hold space for women who feel helpless, defeated, full of grief, or unsure if they will ever feel peace, belonging, or joy again. I offer a place of safety and compassion where those feelings are honored, not fixed, and where true hope and healing begin.”

My greatest hope is that clients leave each session feeling hopeful, loved, and empowered in their journey. I deeply desire for my clients to understand that the emotional and physical challenges they face during infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, or the broader maternal period are worthy of attention and care. By showing up and sharing their story, they are actively engaging in their healing process and taking courageous steps toward their own health and their family's well-being.

AREAS OF FOCUS:

Mary Hathaway Busby |
LCSW, PMH-C

A woman with curly hair smiling, wearing a dark shirt, sitting in a room with white walls, white window blinds, and a bed with a blanket of white stones.

“If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the weight of anxieties, fears, intrusive thoughts, or difficult emotions, I want you to know that you’re not alone and you’re not broken. By entering into your life and story with curiosity and compassion, I hope to help you feel seen, heard, and ready to face the highs and lows of life with confidence, clarity, and self-trust.”

Mary Hathaway is a licensed clinical social worker focused on coming alongside women throughout all stages of motherhood. With a background in social work, she understands the complexities of how our lived experiences and the world around us shapes us, and how that specifically weighs on moms, who spend so much time and energy trying to make things “work.”

With specialized training in perinatal mental health, anxiety disorders, and OCD, Mary Hathaway works with clients to not only reduce anxiety, but also transform the way they relate to it, growing in her clients a sense of confidence and self-trust. She also believes in the importance of psychoeducation for clients to feel both understood and empowered.

AREAS OF FOCUS:
Perinatal Mental Health, Anxiety, OCD, Grief / Loss, Identity & Role Shifts

Krista King | LMFT, PMH-C

A woman with long, wavy hair smiling and standing in front of a wall with framed botanical artwork.

“People are my passion. Few things bring me more joy than helping individuals and couples find a deeper sense of peace and purpose in their life and relationships. I work with clients to explore the parts of themselves that may feel overworked, unseen, or pushed aside—because true healing begins with awareness and integration.”

Krista is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Her approach is grounded in neuroscience and attachment theory. She believes that while relationships can be the source of our deepest wounds, they also hold the potential for profound healing.

Krista is especially passionate about working with individuals navigating childhood wounds, as well as couples and families seeking to restore connection, strengthen trust, and build more secure, fulfilling relationships.

AREAS OF FOCUS:
Marriage/relationships, Motherhood, Trauma (EMDR)

Janie Purser | DNP, FNP-C

“I want you to feel seen, heard, and valued while providing you with the best evidence-based medicine to get you feeling like the best version of yourself.”

Janie Purser is an experienced Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner based in Charleston, South Carolina. Passionate about building authentic relationships with patients, Janie believes that trust and open communication are fundamental to effective healthcare. She is particularly dedicated to supporting women during their most vulnerable perinatal and postpartum seasons, providing compassionate and comprehensive care during this critical time. In addition to her nursing expertise, Janie has pursued additional education in functional medicine. Her treatment approach blends Western and Functional medicine to focus on holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Margaret Archer | PT, DPT

“I found my way into this specialty after going through my own pregnancy and postpartum journey and realizing just how needed this care is. So many women are told that things like leaking or pain with intimacy are “normal”—but while these symptoms are common, they’re not something you just have to live with. I love helping women return to the activities they love without fear through education and individualized treatment.”

I’ve completed extensive training in pelvic health and specialize in treating urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, core weakness, pelvic pain, and pain with intimacy. I take a fitness-forward approach and especially enjoy helping women stay active during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. My goal is to create a collaborative, personalized plan that empowers you to understand your body and feel confident in your healing.

Something fun you might not guess about me—I’m an avid scuba diver and have completed nearly 300 dives!

After our sessions, I hope you feel seen, empowered, and equipped with the tools and knowledge to move forward feeling strong and supported.

The Mère Health promise

We are committed to providing the best possible care to our members. That's why we require all our providers to take continuing education courses through The Postpartum Stress Center, led by maternal mental health expert Karen Kleinman, and Postpartum Support International. Both organizations have worked tirelessly in the field of perinatal care for decades and are recognized as important resources for both physicians and therapists.
